Indonesia Contoh Pusat Beragama yang Damai

Perayaan Tahun Baru Imlek 2019 enggak ada keributan. Di Vihara, Gereja, dan Masjid pun yang mayoritas jamaahnya beretnis Tionghoa semuanya aman. Begitulah semestinya wujud lintas agama dan lintas budaya yang saling menghormati, mendukung, dan membantu. 

Mungkin aja Presiden Soeharto dulu maksudnya bukan melarang perayaan Imlek- tapi untuk menjaga supaya Imlek itu jangan dirayakan secara umum/ luas karena secara mental masyarakatnya belum siap alias gampang diprovokasi (trauma G30SPKI?). Keppres yang dulu membatasi perayaan Imlek akhirnya dianggap sebagai dilarang oleh mereka yang merayakan, padahal mereka sembahyang ga dilarang. Ini dijadikan kesempatan bagi sekelompok orang yang paranoid untuk menindas- sampai melarang kesenian Barongsai di tempat umum, dibatasi di lingkungan Vihara aja. 

Sekarang klo ada kelompok yang berani membatasi keyakinan umat beragama lain khususnya umat Buddha dalam hal merayakan Imlek harus ditindak tegas. Enggak usah permasalahkan orang mau bilang apa soal Imlekan, buat yang keturunan tionghoa mau ikut-nggak ikut, mau ada pesta-enggak pesta yang penting jangan diganggu. Salut dengan pengurus Vihara Buddha Klenteng Petak 9 di Glodok memberikan layanan buka puasa gratis saat bulan puasa, dan bukan nyiapin makanan takjil doang tapi melayani juga. 

Jangan sampai mental masyarakat kita ini terpancing mundur lagi ke era Orde Baru (paranoid dengan budaya/ perayaan agama lain). Kalo kemarin sempat terjadi gesekan antar umat beragama, ya jangan langsung dipandang umat yang melakukan protes sebagai intoleran. Gue paham sebenernya gesekan itu sengaja dimunculkan untuk kepentingan sesaat. Justru disitu sikap empati antar umat ditunjukkan. Klo yang mayoritas menjaga minoritas, terus minoritas menghargai mayoritas, akhirnya membentuk silaturahmi. Kembali ke salah satu tugas Pemerintah untuk menjamin dan menjaga keharmonisan umat beragama. 

Contoh akulturasi lintas budaya-agama berbarengan dengan perayaan Imlek tahun ini: peresmian Masjid Babah Alun dibawah jalan tol. Dibangun dengan desain khas tiongkok, katanya sih malah ada orang-orang FPI yang beribadah di masjid bawah tol itu.  

Baru sekarang gue tau klo Imlek dalam Buddha berbeda dengan Konghucu, dimana Imlek memperingati hari lahir Konghucu.

ISOs

ISO's were emergent intelligence. They were entirely non-human beings. I assume it'd would have the same result as finding sentient aliens. The whole 'we're not alone' thing. They said they were completely resistant to virus's and disease. Also, they were a brand new form of life that was created within a computer program. Pretty sure finding a completely new form on life would be a major deal in itself.

The ISOs have digital DNA. That alone is a extraordinary discovery. But their DNA is also a triple helix. Their DNA contains several secrets of how to cure diseases, extend life and much more. Their DNA gave them complete immunity to all diseases and a high resistance to damage, all while being very similar to Human DNA. This would make it relatively easy to use some of their DNA to make a vaccine of sorts to make all humans immune to disease and more resistant to physical harm.

As if this alone wasn't enough, the fact that DNA based lifeforms came to exist in a computer and then were brought into the 'real world' would raise a ridiculous amount of philosophical and religious questions worldwide. Besides, their very existence could radically alter the current scientific and religious paradigm. The mysteries of the Grid would change the way we see art. The fact that rationality can arise from machines would make way for endless philosophical discussions. The impact of their existence would completely change the world.

tl;dr Basically, it was one more evidence that evolution is possible and probable to the point of certainty.

The importance of ISOs was severely understated in the film. Sure, intelligent life coming into being randomly is cool and all (and in a computer system, no less) but what was all that nonsense about them being the keys to all knowledge and religion and all that other stuff? From that I got the idea that ISOs were abstract ideas represented in some kind of tangible 'form' but that wasn't made clear at all. Jeff Bridges was just all like 'ISOs man, keys to the future and the human condition man' and it was all very easily disregarded in the context of the film.

Honestly I see the digitization laser as more profound. It has the capability to deconstruct an entire human body into digital pieces then reassemble those digital pieces back into a human body from nothing. It gives Quorra and Sam their bodies back and it also has the power to bring Clu and his entire army into the real world.That laser is magic technology, forget the ISOs, that's just a quirk of the system. If the system is based on how our world works it stands to reason that it would evolve along similar lines. In fact, if I designed the Grid I would be pretty surprised if I didn't see some kind of emergent digital life come about. It raises philosophical questions too since it essential solves the mind-body problem and the essences of consciousness.

As I am getting older I also begin to see how silly twenty-somethings are; in fact its annoying because when I see them I see what I used to be, a pseudo-intellectual puffed up little pup who thinks they knew about the world just by reading a lot of news. Twenty-something agnostics are also very annoying, this was me as well, until I grew up a heart, brain, and a dick.

I've seen some idiots in my college who are anti-Israel and think they'll actually accomplish anything. The members are very full of themselves and think they know the solution to everything which they don't, one wants to implement direct democracy but doesn't realise how incredibly difficult that would be in practice. In my last year of college. The other people in my course are so diabolically stupid, even after 4 years of doing this shit, it's sapped my will to do the work and go to classes, because I figure, if they can get a degree, anyone can, what's the goddamn point?

Atheists know they dont know everything and without proof they will not just accept an idea as valid. Making claims about how everything came to be without any evidence is the game of religion. Atheists having 100% knowledge there is no god is a statement religious people and agnostic kids convince themselves of. Even Dawkins states that he doesnt have 100% knowledge the there is no god. The point to being an atheist is to demand proof for a claim, and if proof is not given, there is no reason to accept it. God is just as much mythological as any other creature ever made up by man, he deserves no exception, after all 99.9% of all the Gods that have ever supposedly existed are now extinct. We are all non believers in them, atheists just take it one god further

We have no reason to give unicorns the benefit of the doubt as we know that we created them through mythology and shit. We don't know why humans exist, we don't know why life exists but it does. Atheism does not answer all the questions, and if you think it does, there is no way you know for sure.

Its about burden of proof, if there is no evidence there is no reason to believe. I am sure we are both atheists about those unicorns and fairies, but there is just as much evidence for them as there is for god. I dont know if there is or isnt a god, but from all the evidence, it sure seems like there is no compelling case for one therefore I do not believe. If you are agnostic about God then you must be agnostic about everything else in the world that a person might claim to exist regardless of facts

Sometimes I just dont know what do people look on me

Yesterday at Gas station a jewish preacher came to me and give me these six different little prayer books:

1. A soft answer
2. Dont put me down
3. Getting along
4. Hope for the best
5. No longer alone
6. Self confidence

The reading is in english, they have some good general advices inside. Also some prayer in hebrew at the back of the page.

If the Middle-East wasn't Muslim or Arab

Almost every single Arab nation wasn't actually arab until the 11th-12th century (a few centuries after the muslim conquest), even though civilization had existed there for over 4000 years at the time. If the Arab-Muslims hadn't invaded and made Arabic and Islam the cultural pillars of the region, would the Middle-East have been a better place?

Judaism and Monophysite Christianity is adopted slowly by most Arabs, Levantines, and Egyptians (With North Africa taking on whatever Christian faiths were found there). Any ambitious Arab State (Ghassanids or Lakhmids like) might choose to adopt Monophysite Christianity much like the Khazar Khanate chose Judaism: As a means of being able to play to both Byzantine (Orthodox hated the Monophysites but still could get along with them - this isn't really true for Nestorians, which I think Lakhmids were?) and Sassanid politics.

Central Asia would have remained a more religiously divided landscape between Buddhists, Eastern Christians and some of those small sects/cults whose names elude me (Gnostics, Manichaeism). Persian and Iran would remain the cultural and political center of the Middle East at least until the arrival of the Turks.

I don't know much detail about the Gnostics, but it's quite possible that they would have been the most successful contender to Christianity. Zoroastrianism as I understand it was an elitist faith of the aristocracy and priesthood in Iran, with the populace being Christian, Jewish, Gnostic, or various other faiths.

The Pan-Islamic world that encompasses much of Africa, West/Central/South/South-East Asia wouldn't I think have had any sort of repeat without a faith like Islam. You would have seen Christianity dominating Africa, contending with Gnosticism in Western Asia, Gnosticism and Buddhism in Central Asia, and an unchallenged Hinduism in South (east) asia.

With a point of divergence so far back, it'd be tough to account for all of the potential events due to the butterfly effect. It'd be interesting if someone worked on a detailed timeline of a world where Islam never existed or never took off.
