"Organic" food is just pop-science bullshit
Organic food is generally higher quality. Nothing to do with the pesticides, it's just the people who can buy it tend to be in higher income brackets and can afford to be more discerning with their food choices. It's signaling, in the same way watches made with real gold are likely to be higher quality than watches made of other materials, even though using gold as a material doesn't make a watch run any better.
Depends on what you mean by inferior. if you mean from a policy point of view, I don't know.. All food is biological, such as fructose syrup which is in no way organic. Fructose comes from plants but It's a carbohydrate. Except artificial food of course
The word organic existed before its use in chemistry, and not all terms are derived from this use. "Organic" in organic food is generally meant to mean "made with an avoidance of synthetic substances".
So the term "Organic" is just a pop science term to sell food grown with inferior standards to idiots.
